Salary: 22,500 - 32,000 per annum
Location: Manchester City Centre
Permanent

New Economy are currently recruiting a Senior Analyst to hold senior responsibilities within New Economys
research team, managing research and information services and projects for both internal and external
customers. To be based in Manchester City Centre.

The duties of the job are:

To provide technical support on research projects, including data collection, collation, analysis and
interpretation, and report preparation and recommendations.
To be a key member of the team delivering costbenefit analysis for Greater Manchester
stakeholders.
To present research, analysis and interpretation to key clients and stakeholders, both internally and
externally.
To manage relevant aspects of projects and research, from conception and development to
finalisation, including stakeholder and client management and publicity.
To deliver training on economic issues and techniques to Greater Manchester stakeholders and other
external clients
To provide information to internal and external customers and to manage relationships with them at
the right level, supplying up to date, relevant and accurate data that meets their needs.
To be responsible for ensuring relevant parts of New Economys website contains useful, up-to-date,
relevant and accurate information and that it functions as a showcase for New Economys work.
To contribute to policy analysis through New Economys portfolio of research products, such as New
Economy briefings, New Economy Guides, the Daily News Update and the New Economy Working
Papers series.


We would like to hear from you if you have/are:

Experience within a similar role.
A degree/postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject.
Experience with Data collection and analysis.
Experience of working with official and unofficial socioeconomic datasets
Experience of carrying out quantitative and qualitative surveys, focus groups and face-to-face
interviews/consultations.
Experienced in the use of IT for data analysis and presentation (e.g. Excel, SPSS, GIS).
