Competition for high school FFA members on April 3rd. The purpose of the competition was to evaluate the livestock as compared to the official scoring. The students were broken up into 10 groups and were required to judge three classes of swine, beef, and sheep.
Each division had one class of questions and data that students were quizzed on later in the contest. Havana High School students, Rachel Fornoff, Eileen Urish, Erin Hodgson, Jacqueline Ishmael, and Courtney Richardson, attended the contest and placed 23rd out of a total of 66 teams. Individually on the team Eileen Urish placed first, Rachel Fornoff second, Erin Hodgson third, Jacqueline Ishmael fourth and Courtney Richardson Fifth. WIU Livestock Judging Contest

Section 12 FFA Livestock Judging Contest On April 10th the HHS FFA Livestock Judging Team participated in the Section 12 Livestock Judging Contest.
Competing in the Section Contest event was Rachel Fornoff, Eileen Urish, Erin Hodgson, Courtney Richardson, Jacqueline Ishmael, Cole Hodgson, David Rhinehart, Jeff Dunker and Zach Montgomery.
The team judged three classes of cattle, two classes of sheep and, one class of goats, along with one class of questions. The top three scoring members from the team earned the HHS FFA Livestock Judging Team 2nd place.
Rachel Fornoff received individual ribbons for getting 1st in Sheep Judging, 5th in Beef Judging, and 4th top individual score overall.
Eileen Urish received indiviudal ribbons for getting 6th in Sheep Judging, 7th in Beef Judging, and 5th top individual score overall.
On May 1st, Farmington High School hosted the 2014 Section 12 FFA Banquet. There were 78 people in attendance at the banquet and election. Dinner was donated by Mr. and Mrs. Ramp of Farmington.
After dinner was served and a recap of the year was announced the 2014-2015 Section 12 officer team was elected. Each school that was present had 2 voting delegates for the election. Each member running for office had to give a speech for the position they were running for. There was a total of 8 officer candidates with only 6 positions.
SRC Livestock Judging Contest On April 10th, Spoon River College hosted an Invitational Livestock Judging Contest for FFA members.
Competing in the SRC Contest event was Rachel Fornoff, Eileen Urish, Erin Hodgson, Courtney Richardson, and Jacqueline Ishmael. The team judged three classes of cattle, two classes of sheep and one class of goats, along with one class of questions. The top three scoring members from the team earned the HHS FFA Livestock Judging Team 3rd place at the SRC Livestock Judging Contest.
Rachel Fornoff received a ribbon for 6th top individual score, and Eileen Urish received a ribbon for 7th top individual score.
This was the last Livestock Judging Contest that the FFA members competed in this year. The new Section 12 FFA officers are: Jordan Breedlove of MWC as President, Cassidy Tarter of Canton as Vice President, Corrine Harding of Farmington as Reporter, Stephanie Miller of MWC as Secretary, Eileen Urish of Havana as Treasurer, and Quentin Whitehouse of Cuba as Sentinel.
