We started out the month with a visit from the ladies at the Noel Wien Public Library
They gave kindergarten 3
rd
graders an overview of the summer reading program.
Hopefully they are excited to keep on reading this summer!!!

Ms. Blacks class put on readers theatre performances for kindergarten 3
rd
grade in the
library. Ask to watch the performances on the librarys iPad.

The staff enjoyed a wonderful breakfast in the library thanks to the PTA & the amazing parents
that support us.

In the spirit of sharing several small groups met for lunch in the library this month:
Rubber band looming, Drawing/ Sketching with Sharon E. & box top clippers.
This is something we will definitely be doing more of next school year.

Students showed appreciation for volunteers in our school by doing art projects during their
library time since students are no longer checking out books. Their creations were given to our
volunteers during the Volunteer Appreciation luncheon put on by the staff in the Library.



RIF, (Reading Is Fun) books were chosen by students during their library time so they would
have a great new book to kick off their summer reading!!!!
THANK YOU PTA for providing FREE books twice each school year to all of our students!!!!

Last but not least ... 6
th
graders celebrated their graduation with cake, punch, music, family &
friends in the library. Good luck to you all. I look forward to hearing about all of the fun teen
fiction books you discover in Jr High.
