1-A simply supported beam AB of span 5 meters is carrying a point load of 30kN
at a distance 3.75 m from the left end A. Calculate the slopes at A and B and
deflection under the load. Take EI=26x10

2-A timber beam of rectangular section has a span of 4.8 meters and is simply
supported at its ends. It is required to carry a load of 45kN uniformly distributed
over the whole span. Find the values of the breadth (b) and depth (d) of the beam,
if maximum bending stress is not to exceed 7Mpa and maximum deflection is
limited to 9.5 mm.Take E for timber as 10.5 Gpa. Use double integration method.
3- Find the slope at A, C and D and deflection at B and D of the beam given below.
EI constant. Use Macaulays method.

4- A horizontal steel girder having uniform cross-section is 14m long and is simply
supported at its end. It carries two concentrated load as shown in the figure.

5-A horizontal beam is freely supported at A and B, 8m apart and carries a
uniformly distributed load of 15kN/m(including its own weight).A clockwise
moment of 160 kN-m is applied to the beam at point C 3m from left hand support
