Standard 8: Reflection and Continuous Growth

The teacher is a reflective practitioner who uses evidence to continually evaluate and adapt practice to meet the
needs of each learner.
Rationale: Throughout my student teaching experience I had the opportunity to conduct an action research
project on anticipatory sets. Throughout this experience I was able to collect data, make observations, reflect,
and make adjustments to my teaching. This project has helped me grow as an educator by making me realize
how vitally important it is to continually observe, adapt, and create changes. Below are some of the
observations and data sources that have been taken from my anticipatory sets along with the survey that
regarding their perceptions of anticipatory sets ("At the bell's") that I gave to my students.
