The author's industrial training was with Air Dynasty Heli Services, a helicopter charter company operating four helicopters out of Kathmandu and Pokhara, Nepal for over 20 years. During the training period, three aircraft operating from Kathmandu airport were found to have two engine time between overhaul periods approaching and stiffening of the axial compressor. As a trainee, the author was instructed to study civil aviation governing bodies, the company, aircraft airframes and engines, and perform practical maintenance, inspection, defect identification and resolution, assembly and disassembly, and ground runs and testing.

    INTRODUCTION
    Aviation is field in engineering in which there are two sub-sections. One section is
    related to defense while the other is related to civil transportation. In aviation
    the safety of a passenger and good is very crucial. Therefore for this safety
    should be proper maintenance of the air vehicle. It is thus maintained by the
    Civil Aviation Authority of the country.
    The Industrial training was carried out in Air Dynasty Heli Services Pvt. Ltd., a
    helicopter charter company. It has served as a commercial airliner for more
    than 20 year. It has four helicopters which are maintained on daily basis for
    maintaining airworthiness. During the training period three of the aircrafts were
    operated through TIA (Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu, Nepal)
    KTM and the other from Pokhara Domestic Airport, Pokhara, Nepal.
    During such maintenance all three of the aircrafts operating from TIA were
    reported to have two TBOs approaching and stiffening of the axial compressor.
    For this purpose as a Trainee Engineer I was suggested the following procedure
    to adopt for understanding the training better.
