POST-DOCTORAL POSITION

UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN

The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Michigan has immediate
open positions for post-doctoral fellowship in functional and metabolic imaging in
treatment response of tumor and normal tissue/organ injury in radiation oncology. The
candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in physics, medical physics, biomedical
engineering, or related field. Significant experience in imaging processing, algorithm
development, and DCE and diffusion tensor MR imaging will be preferred. The
scientific activity will include, but not be limited to, developing new imaging
methodologies, characterizing changes in normal tissue and tumor during and after
radiation therapy, and developing algorithms for quantification of functional images for
clinical trials. Post-doctoral fellow will work with faculty members and staff within
Radiation Oncology (including MRI physicists, radiation physicists, radiation
oncologists, statisticians, computer programming analysts), and also collaborate closely
with scientists and clinicians in Radiology, Engineering and Statistics. The positions are
funded by NIH grants.
