    Important information concerning the begin of your studies at the KIT
    Welcome to KIT!!
    We are glad to welcome you to KIT. We wish you a successful study and would like to provide you some
    information about your first administrative steps in Karlsruhe:
    1.Registration at the KIT
    The registration at the KIT for international students will be at the International Students Office, Adenauerring 2,
    76131 Karlsruhe, on Monday, Wednesday or Friday, from 9.00 am to 11 am.
    For your registration, please bring the following documents with you:
    - Letter of Admission
    - Filled-out registration form (www.intl.kit.edu/info/Antrag_auf_Einschreibung.docx)
    - 1 Passport photograph
    - Proof of Health Insurance
    - Payment document of a bank proving that you paid the semester (social) contribution
    - Passport with a student visa
    2.Semester contribution
    The Social Services including the administrative fee is EUR 72.70. You can transfer this fee 2 weeks before
    you plan to register to the following account:

    Alternatively, the payment can be made at a local bank in Karlsruhe after arrival. Please note that it is
    easier to pay the semester contribution from a German bank account than to make a transfer from abroad
    because no additional costs arise.
    3.Registration at the Registration office (Einwohnermeldeamt)
    Anyone who starts living in a flat in Karlsruhe, has to inform the Registration office (Einwohnermeldeamt) in
    between one week after his/her move. You can do this at the Brgerbro K8 Kaiserallee 8 76133 Karlsruhe.
