Dear Students and Parents/Guardians,

The first few days have gone by so quickly! We are getting to a great start
so far!

In Algebra I, the students have just started the first unit. We have started
with the basic foundations of mathematics with the introduction of types of
numbers. Currently we are reviewing the operations (addition, subtraction,
multiplication, and division) for both positive and negative integers.

In Algebra II, the students have also just started the first unit. We reviewed
the types of numbers. We then reviewed fractions and operations involving
fractions. Currently we are working on the order of operations and students are
creating their own acronyms for PEMDAS.

We look forward to the coming weeks. Please look out for the weekly
newsletters sent by mail and accessible online on the weekly newsletter page of
my website.

I know that throughout this year we can work together for the benefit of the
