Recently, theres been a HUGE interest in the marketing world to start shifting over to more
reliable marketing methods because of all the crazy changes with Facebook and Google. Teres
nothing worse than making your living by ranking client websites fast using loopholes and
greyhat methods, then fnding out that gooogle made a new change to the algorithm and your
client stops getting phone calls.
Or if youre making your money selling facebook fan pages only to fnd that with a snap of their
fngers, Facebook changes everything and puts you into complete panic.
Tats why I personally prefer a stronger, more reliable, more powerful, and more receptive
medium. Direct mail.
Direct Mail
Direct mail is an awesome medium to consider using because of its incredible power to
generate leads for you and your client. You may not know this but direct mail is still the
reigning king of advertising and has been for almost a century. Direct marketing still reigns
supreme today over any other medium including the internet.
Im going to help you tap into that supreme power, and do it without the massive risk that
normally comes along with it. No money will come out of your pocket.
Im going to make this report very concise and straight to the point. I want to show you how
Im using the power of direct mail to make over $10,000 per month, virtually on auto-pilot and
theres no reason you cant do the same. Ive developed it into a bulletproof system that can be
simply duplicated in your area where you can start generating cashfow.

My original idea. (the starting point of the fnal product)
A little over a year ago, I started working on some methods using direct mail that would beneft
my local business community. Ive always been interested in ways to bring in tons of business
for my clients because I know that once you bring in results, you can make some serious cash,
especially if you can repeat it over and over.
Its hard to fnd anything close to direct mail that can bring in a lot of customers in an almost
instant amount of time.
Internet marketing doesnt bring fast enough results
Like many, I once thought I could make a killing selling SEO services but what I found was
that it was very difcult to outsource efectively and it was very difcult to get clients that
would keep paying for no results! It was tough as hell to pitch too because small business
owners dont understand it one bit.
While I had plenty of experience obtaining clients over the years from using direct mail myself,
I had never thought about using it to help get clients for my clients. As I started thinking more
and more about it, I started developing diferent ideas on how to ofer the power of direct mail
to my clients so that they could beneft from it too.
Expense is the only problem with direct mail
Te problem is that direct mail is typically expensive as heck. Just sending a letter or a postcard
out in the mail will cost you 50 or more cents and you need to send thousands and thousands
of them to see results. Tis is the main reason why small business owners DONT do direct
mail in the frst place, its just too risky and too expensive. Sometimes the products or service
they sell wouldnt even proft enough to warrant spending thousands of dollars on one mailing,
so unfortunately its just out of their grasp.
Te answer to getting around this issue is by grouping advertisers together so that they all share
the cost, just like mega coupon companies Valpak and Clipper do if youre familiar with them.
Basically an envelope or catalog stufed with coupons. Tis allows the small business owner to
spend only a few hundred bucks to reach thousands of people in the mail.
Te problem with this type of advertising is that it dilutes the efectiveness to each advertiser
since it requires the recipient to open and fip through everything to see their advertisement,
plus its often stufed in with 2-4 more advertisements from their direct competitors. Not
exactly an ideal situation, so I wanted to make something similar but better.
Diluting the cost
I started getting together a plan to create a 30-50 page catalog that would be mailed to a
targeted list and flled with advertisers and content that would be relevant to that list. For
example, I thought about sending a booklet out to homeowners only, and flling it with
interviews from local contractors and 30 or so advertisements that would be relevant to
homeowners (contractors, landscapers, furniture stores, etc...).
I fgured I could get $200 for smaller ads and $1000 for full page ads but then I started
realizing how difcult it would be to acquire 30 advertisers in a short amount of time. Plus I
wasnt very confdent I could pull good response for my advertisers since the recipient would
have to open it up, thumb through everything and want to look at ads instead of content. Tis
seemed to be only a slight improvement over what more established coupon mailers already do,
and I didnt have the established branding they did.
I had to think of something that would be a huge improvement. Something that would be
totally diferent and substantially better.
The breakthrough
Literally in the middle of me planning all of this, the US Postal Service happened to roll out
the most revolutionary incentive program in history. Its called Every Door Direct Mail and
similar programs across the world have been in place as well due to its success. (As of this
writing, I know that South Africa, Te UK, Canada, Australia, Italy, Germany, and Holland
have a similar system).
What this program is, is a way eliminate many of the barriers of direct mail for businesses.
Prior to this program, if you wanted to send out a mailing with a large mailpiece, youd need to:
Pay for a targeted list (10cents per name typically)... YUCK!
Pay for a mailing permit ($400-ish)..... YUCK!
Pay 88 cents per piece for frst class postage..... YUCK!
Have the address printed on each piece, presorted, and delivered to the bulk mail
unit.... YUCK!
Tis meant that each piece would've costed me around $5 each considering the cost to print
the booklet and pay for the postage and mailing costs. It sounded like a HUGE moneymaker
for me but I couldn't justify the fact that it wouldn't bring my advertisers enough value to keep
them advertising over and over.
With the EDDM program (every door direct mail) the post ofce suddenly allowed anyone
to send large mailpieces out to entire carrier routes (300-600 homes) without a permit and for
under 15 cents each. And...
no permit required.... YEAH BABY!
no list required..... YEAH BABY!
no individual addressing required....... YEAH BABY!
everything can be payable right at the local post offce desk....... YEAH BABY!
A True Marketing Revolution
Tis totally changed everything! It literally cut the headache and cost in fractions. Te problem
STILL remained that I had to fgure something out that would keep my advertisers coming
back. I wanted to be the guy who the local business community went to when they needed
results, like the wolf in pulp fction.
I needed something that would bring my clients RESULTS for their money without having to
wait 6 months before seeing results like SEO/Billboards/Newsprint. I became obsessed with
the idea of it, and fnding a solution.
I knew the power of direct mail could bring results and I knew that sharing the costs between
businesses would be the only way to get the cost down to what small businesses could aford
but I couldn't fgure out exactly how to tap into the power of both without sacrifcing exposure
(like the magazine/envelope model did).
The solution
Te answer to all this was simple. I would use a massive sized postcard and share it between
advertisers. Tat way people are forced to see everything in one quick glance without having to
open a letter or thumb through pages. Instead of 10 or 11% exposure, it was now at a virtual
100% exposure.
Marketing requires delivering a message to it's target, right? Can you think of ANY better way
to deliver a message to someone than a postcard in the mail?
For example, say you owned a shoe store and wanted to run a killer sale during back to school
season, how would you take market share away from the big box stores and chain sporting
goods stores?
If you sent postcards in the mail (with its 100% exposure rate) via EDDM, you could reach
every single residence in your market instantly! You could generate business simply by
overpowering the biggest chains and corporate stores at their own game.
Tere's no other way possible for a small business owner to be able to overpower the big boys in
local advertising until now. I knew that this was the discovery of a game changing method that
would revolutionize local advertising.
Now that you understand how I arrived at this system, here's the basic process in 4 easy steps:
1. Use the largest postcard that you can. A 9x12 size is incredibly large and will
accommodate 20 advertisers, although I prefer up to 16 comfortably.
2. Sell each ad space for an easy $350-$550. Tis will generate between $5600 and $8800 in
revenue if selling 8 spaces on the front and 8 on the back
3. Deduct printing, design, and mailing (Roughly $3,500) and you proft $2,100 - $5,300!
4. Keep repeating the cards as many times as you want and keep banking.

Scalability beyond your wildest dreams
You can scale this as large as you want. Want to make $100,000 per month? Hire some sales
reps to work on commission and just keep pumping out cards. If you even run 3 cards at any
given time, that's a realistic PROFIT of $15,000.
Hire sales reps to work on commission and you have it all on auto-pilot. Keep expanding your
area and keep cranking out more cards.
Te BEST part is, since postcards can bring in such great response for your advertisers, a large
percentage of them will keep repeating and forking over money to you each time you pump a
card out. Not only do they want to keep getting results, but the last thing they want is one of
their competitors to take the space over.
Printing
Print everything using inexpensive online printers. I suggest printplace.com for extremely high
quality postcard printing (9x12's are listed under 'fyers' not 'postcards' on their site). Compare
this cost to a local printer and you'll fnd printplace.com is so much cheaper.

As of this writing, it will only cost you around $1300 in printing and shipping to have 10,000
9x12's delivered to your home. Tat's signifcantly less than your local printer will do and the
quality will be much higher.
I spring for the optional ultra high-gloss UV coating on both sides of my postcards which costs
more however it gives the piece an immaculate feel. I would defnitely suggest using 14pt card
stock, not anything thin and fimsy.
Designing
You don't have to be a graphic designer to have simple ads designed. You can fnd designers
that will do this work for $5-$25 depending on skill level and you can fnd them all over fverr.
com and odesk.com for example. If you decide to join my premier membership group or if you

Mailing
In order to mail out your postcards, you'll need to follow the EDDM procedures, which are
available on the usps website. In a nutshell, you'll need to bundle everything into 50 or 100
piece bundles and designate which carrier routes you want to send them to, then you fll out
some basic paperwork and bring everything to the post ofce so they can send it out.
Response Rates
Te icing on the cake for all of this is the fact that it generates real results for your clients.
Finally, a small business owner has the ability to do a 5,000 or 10,000 piece postcard mailing
for only $500 bucks instead of $10,000 or more.
1. Te response your advertisers will get will depend on a couple factors:
2. How relevant the product/service is to the general public
3. How strong of an ofer is presented
4. How soon the ofer expires
5. Let's take for example a remodeling contractor. Out of 10,000 pieces mailed, they
may only get a tenth of a percent response, or 10 responses.
Now lets take a car wash with a coupon for a free car wash. Tat might get 2,000 responses.
However, the contractor might close a deal for $20,000 from that 1/10
th
percentage return,
while the car wash would lose money yet get a 20% return.
Every business has diferent ways of making money and they will get diferent responses. Some
businesses like the car wash will use a loss leader in order to get people to pay for additional
services or more products, or on the hopes that the customer will come back for a long time.
Every one is diferent but they all beneft from any advertising that brings in results and
delivers their message efectively.
Youre selling the most powerful advertising package in your entire community and youll have
referrals up the wazoo once you run a card or two! I dont believe Ive even heard of anyone
producing a card and not getting a referral or repeat advertisers. It just takes getting that frst
card out there!
