Task Two: Spreadsheet Terms
Column: A formatting option that allows the user to present information similar to newspaper
text.
Row: The horizontal space that is going across the window.
Cell: The intersection of columns and rows; Each cell is assigned a name according to its column
letter and row number.
Label: The text that describes the data contained in the various cell locations.
Constant: Constants are also used in spreadsheet applications to place non-changing values in
cells. In contrast a spreadsheet formula can produce a different value each time the spreadsheet
is opened or changed.
Formula: A step-b!-step procedure entered into a wor"sheet cell following the order of
operations.
Function: #redefined formulas that perform simple to complex calculations.
