Sun Safety...
We finally seem to have some real
sunshine and heat, so please
remember to make sure that your child
brings a sun hat to wear, and please
apply sunscreen before arriving in the
morning.

...And Rain Jackets
Even though the weather has been
warming up, it still rains every now and
then. Having a light rain jacket at
school will allow us to go outside in
drizzly weather.

June 17 is Our Spring Celebration
Please keep the morning of June 17
free as we will be having our Spring
Celebration. Much like the Winter
Celebration in December, it will consist
of a performance by the children in the
Heizhaus at 8:30am followed by
brunch in the classrooms.

Whats Happening in the Classroom
We are starting our final unit, titled
Journeys.

The central idea is, People and goods
make journeys and it is an inquiry into:
* The reasons for journeys
* How journeys can be made
* What can we experience/learn on
journeys
* The effect of journeys on people and
places

We will be undertaking the annual field
trip to Pfaueninsel on Friday, June 20.
This will involve some travel on public
transport and we will give you full
information next week.

Planning for Next Year
We are receiving official information
from the registrar about which
students are returning to BBIS next
year and which ones are not. However
this doesn't always include the latest
decisions. If you are considering not
having your child return to BBIS next
year, would you please let us know to
help us coordinate an appropriate
transition.

Library Books
The library needs all loans to be
cleared from student accounts for the
end of the 2013-2014 school year.
ALL BOOKS MUST BE RETURNED BY
JUNE 16

However, we love our students to
continue reading over the holidays.
Students can borrow up to 5 books
from the library to enjoy over the
break.
