MFG 101 Puzzle Design Challenge

Puzzles are a fun way of entertainment for people of all ages to challenge their problem solving and critical
thinking skills. Your challenge in a group of up to two people is to design and build a puzzle that could be
manufactured to a specific target group - Young children.

Puzzle must consist of at LEAST 7 pieces. Your puzzle must be painted as well. There are some potential ideas on
the course website as links. NO JIGSAW PUZZLES ALLOWED!!! There are different kinds of puzzles keep in
mind that are attractive to certain age groups. There are puzzles of:

animals or other characters
3D Puzzles
Puzzles of pictures or images
can you think of other kinds???

Your design must be approved by Mr. Heuser before you can proceed to the construction phase. That includes
ALL paperwork!

1. Design Brief
2. Decision Matrix
3. Plan of Procedure - steps to building
4. Template of all your pieces and how they fit together
