Calendula officinalis
Family: Asteraceae
Annual, self-seeding, sometimes a short-lived perennial. Native to southern Europe.
If we were to grow but one medicinal plant, this would be it. alendula flowers are a
premier antiseptic and healing agent when made into salve, succus, tincture or simply
masticated and applied to the in!ury. Inhibits inflammation, promotes formation of
granulation tissue in wounds. "his heirloom strain produces a lovely combination of
single and double, yellow and orange flowers. It is a strong, diverse cultivar which
