    As a penultimate year student at The University of Warwick pursuing a degree in BSc


    Accounting and Finance, I am writing to express my keen interest in the above mentioned
    position.

    The Investment Banking division at Credit Suisse operates in a highly competitive and dynamic
    environment, and I believe my analytical and problem solving skills will enable me to thrive in
    the challenges posed by working in such a setting. I am currently developing an understanding of
    the fundamental financial market instruments for investments and valuation, and this, along with
    my strong academic record to date, has inspired me to further enhance my financial and
    commercial acumen and hence, driven my desire to pursue a career in Investment Banking.

    My approach to leadership is team based, and this is evident in my role as the Club Captain of
    the Warwick Men’s Cricket Club, whereby I have been able to not only ensure the smooth
    running of the club but also develop my inter-personal, organizational, communication and
    decision-making skills. The application of such personal traits was distinct during my work
    experience at Muranga Forwarders Ltd. It is this combination of accomplishment and
    pragmatism that I aim to apply during my time at Credit Suisse as a summer analyst.

    Credit Suisse is a leader in Europe. The experience I will gain from working with seasoned
    investment bankers on client financing projects will prove invaluable. Exchanging ideas with
    specialists will further enhance my capabilities. Despite the sheer scale of Credit Suisse’s
    operations, I have learnt that it gives significant emphasis on individuality and responsibility.
    This, along with the technical expertise and motivation provided, will help me gain an essential
    insight into corporate finance and hence, enable me to achieve my personal ambitions of an
    intellectually rewarding career in Investment Banking.
