Sugar Hill, GA The North Gwinnett Qualifier for the National Select 7on7 Championship will take place June 12 th and 13 th in Sugar Hill, Georgia. The tournament will bring together some of the best talent and competition in the area, in the hopes of making it to the National Championships this July in Hoover, AL.
The North Gwinnett Qualifier will take place at Gary Pirkle Park in Sugar Hill, GA. The Tournament will begin on Thursday, June 12 th with pool play taking place from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tournament seeding will take place from 8:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Springhill Suites Marriott in Buford, GA. Winner and loser bracket games will take place on Friday, June 13. The winner of the North Gwinnett Qualifer will advance to the National Championships in Hoover, AL.
Teams participating in the 2014 North Gwinnett Qualifer are: Alpharetta High School (Alpharetta, GA), Centennial (Roswell, GA), Chattahoochee (Johns Creek, GA), Cherokee High School (Canton, GA), Desoto Central (Southhaven, MS), Jefferson County (Louisville, GA), Langston Huges High (Fairburn, GA), North Gwinnett Team A (Suwanee, GA), North Gwinnett Team B (Suwanee, GA), Shiloh High School (Snellville, GA), Spartanburg High School (Spartanburg, SC), and Wren High (Piedmont, SC).
The North Gwinnett Qualifier is one of the 15 National Select Qualifiying Tournaments to be held this summer. The winner from each tournament qualifies to play in the National Select 7on7 Championships in Hoover, Alabama July 17-19.
The North Gwinnett Qualifier has become an established event in Georiga and is huge for our summer development program, says North Gwinnett Head Coach Bob Sphire. Having the opportunity to participate in the National Select Tournament gives us the opportunity to compete against some of the best competition in the country.
The National Select 7on7 Championship Series is the premier 7on7 tournament in the country, bringing together top teams and athletes from around the U.S. for a chance to play against the toughest competition and sharpen on-the-field skills before the regular season begins.
