REFLECTIVE REPORT
MAMTA KOTECHA

My Background
I am Mamta Kotecha and I am the Math teacher and
Advisor at THE GALAXY SCHOOL.
I teach Mathematics in Grade 4.


My journey through HTH was an exciting and
learning experience.Each training was a new
challenge for us.
There were times when I was frustrated and it
became difficult for me to continue the training but
graduallly I got adopted to the schedule and started
enjoying it.
I am glad to be a part of the HTH training
programme.
The focus of my work this year has been
Collaboration Skills among students. This is what I
took up as my School Project :
Project- Tuck Shop

Essential Question :
How can I create an authentic learning
experience that involves the learners to do the
subject rather then to be told or demonstrated.

MY PLP
Personal Learning Plan and my current work:
Currently I teach Mathematics for std 3
rd
and 4
th
ICSE students. I have
been using various kinds of teaching skills over the last 14 years of my
teaching career like lectures, powerpoint presentations, classroom
discussion according to their age level, using charts and models and
flipped classroom where students work in groups of 3 or 4, see the videos
given at home and solve assignments using various 21
st
century skills .

My goal is to include the 21

st
Century Skills in my teaching
practices.

Including the 21st Century Skills :Critical Thinking,

Collaboration,Communication,Creativity.

I would like to work on these Areas:

Help students create their own personalized

learning goals so that they achieve their desired
results according to their Win Win Agreements.

Collect and post evidences to display work in

progress in classroom.

A classroom where students are constantly

engaged in activities where they have to
collaborate, think creatively and at the same time
are able to make connections with their
curriculum and the real world.

My Reflection :
It has helped me bring about collaboration
in the class and connect
the value of money with real life
experiences to teach students.
