Lets Be Friends is a group designed to encourage your child to enhance his/her social
competence. Children will be given opportunities to establish and practice appropriate
social interactions and behavior in a caring and safe environment. Each session will
include an emphasis on providing activities with opportunities to develop typical social
skills. Goals include:

Conversation
Initiating and terminating a conversation
Use of considerate body language and eye contact
Careful listening and reciprocity
Sending and receiving accurate messages
Sharing experiences and feelings
Making/keeping friends

Group Environment
Recognizing personal space and sequence of turns
Following directions
Modulation of activity level and impulse control
Asking for and giving help when needed
Identify positive qualities about self and peers


Cost: $300* includes screening week.
Groups must have a minimum of 4 children to run.

*If child has Keystone First as a primary insurance and is receiving ST, cost may be covered by ST benefits.

*Since there is a therapeutic focus to the sessions, a physicians prescription requesting therapy for group intervention is required
in order to participate. This script is needed prior to, or at the time of, the FIRST group session.
