I am a 15-year-old individual and recently came across your ad in the newspaper. I would like to work for your company to gain
work experience in a retail based environment. I would like to gain more customer service skills, and by being a retail sales
associate, I believe that this will become attainable.
I have had previous experience working at A&W Express in Airdrie, Alberta. I worked in both the kitchen as a cook and in the
front as a customer service representative. As a kitchen member, I developed different skills including time management skills and
team building skills. While working in the front, I developed customer service skills, cash handling skills, and time management
skills. Time management skills included knowing when to be focused, knowing when to be efficient and fast, and knowing when to
move on to another chore. Team building skills included working with other staff members and sharing jobs with other staff. Since I
have these skills available to me, I believe I will be able to keep the work place efficient and a positive place to work.
By having customer service skills and cash handling skills, I believe that I would be very fit for this position because I know how to
properly work with customers and help them find what they are looking for. I know how to count coins, give proper change, and
how to properly close a purchase, so I believe that my cash handling skills can also be a benefit. I look forward to hearing from
