Science Career Project

Introduction: You will be required to research a science related career. The science career should fit
into the category of physical science, life science (biology), earth science, medical field, health,
technology/computers, or research based. The final project will consist of a typed report summarizing
your findings and citing your research.
Criteria to research:
1. Name of Career or Job Title.
2. The jobs responsibilities.
3. What education/training/qualifications are needed?
4. What is the salary?
5. What are the work conditions?
6. What are the current employment opportunities?
7. Find a college or vocational school that offers a degree or training in this career field. Locate the
website for the institution. Calculate the cost of attending the institution for a year. Include room,
board, tuition, and any other expenses.
8. After completing the research, is this a career you may be interested in pursuing? Why or why not?
You may also include any additional facts and thoughts about the career you have researched in this
paragraph.
9. Citations used for project.
Research: This project will include research visits with your class to the library. A minimum of four
sources are required for this project. All work cited from research must be included in your Citation
section. Any plagiarism will result in a zero for this project and will prevent you from any extra credit
assignments.
