Would Bob Change Anything?

Hello there and welcome to Six Minutes. I received a question from a dear friend of
mine and she said, Knowing what you know now, if you could look backwhat are
three things you would change? Well first of all, let me mention I have no regrets. I am
pleased that everything thats happened, everything I did, the come-downs I did
because it made me who I am and I like me. But if I were to give advice to someone
thats starting out, that really wants to make it happen, I would make a very, very close
connection with people who have demonstrated that they really know what theyre
talking about and I would follow their lead. Now I did that, I think I couldve done it
better. Id make a very close connection with people that are making it happen, and
Id follow their lead. I wouldnt be too concerned with what other people said, I would
be more concerned with what they suggested.

Number two, I would study more. I would study more. Now I study a lot, but I would
study more.

And number three, although Ive got the idea out of my head, I would have done it
faster. I would have forgotten and not cared about what other people say or think
about me. Now Ive talked about that many, many times. Have you any idea the
number of roadblocks people put up because of worry about what someone else
thinks? First of all, its none of our business what somebody else thinks.

So the three things Id make a stronger, closer connection with people that really
knew what they were talking about, and I would follow their lead. I would do exactly
what they said. Number two, Id study more. I would have a definite time for really
studying because knowledge, the only way you can get to it, is to study and thats
where understanding comes from. And number three, I would really eliminate from my
mind the worry about what other people think. First, its none of our business; and we
dont want to think about it.

There are three things that I would recommend you burn into your minds. Sit down and
spend a few minutes right now thinking about them.
