f Commerce, Secretarial and Accountancy Aquilas is in charge of the helm after d rowning their rival departments in singles and doubles in continuation of this y ear's sportsfest. The College of Arts, Sciences, Teacher Education, Information Technology and Criminology Dolphins are defending their crown this year for a four-peat fe at in Badminton. However, the CCSA team is not cooperative for their dream. Adriane de Vera and Frank San Juan lead the series with two wins and no defeat in Badminton Men's Doubles after thwarting the Dolphins and the College o f Engineering and Architecture for a convincing 21-7,21-9 win against the CASTE and a stunning 21-6, 21-0 victory versus the Dragons. The dynamic duo of Mary Salinas and Rose Ann Santos had a terrific card onwards the tournament after listing a 2-0 win-loss record for the CCSA in Women 's Doubles. Their lightning speed smashes and great serves pave the way for thei r victory after overwhelming the force of CEA 21-12, 27-25 and dominating the wi tty Blue Dolphins in a 21-5, 21-8 win. In Men's Singles B, Richard Garrido showed his top form after finishing the CEA in three sets in their nerve-fizzling duel. With his strong will to carr y the team on cloud nine, Garrido carted away in a 21-10, 21-10 triumph against the CASTE to give the CCSA a 2-0 card in the first round. Veteran smasher Bernadito Ablang of the CASTE-IT-CRIM took a 2-0 lead in Singles A. In the Women's Singles B, Johrielle Castillo put on a spark for the Aqui las with her flawless performance in a 21-9, 21-11 outing against the Dragons an d a sizzling 22-20, 21-15 score versus the CASTE.
