Historyclasswasoneofmyfavoriteclasses.Ienjoyedcominginandlearninginhistory
becauseofthewayhetaughtus.Iwouldhavetosaythatthroughoutthiscoursemyfavorite
topicswerequartertwo,IndianIndependenceandGandhismethodsofnonviolentactivismand
quarterfour,TerrorismandtheMiddleEast.Theseweremyfavoritetopicsbecausetheyreally
grabbedmyattention.ThesetopicshavechangedtheworldandhowwelivenowsoIthoughtit
wouldbereallyintriguingtolearnabouthowtheychangedtheworld.Forexampleinquartertwo
thehonorspeopletaughtusaboutMartinLutherKing,Jr.andhowhestoodupforblacks.Alsoin
quarterfourhow9/11changedoursecurityaroundtheworld.

Aftertakingtakingthishistoryclassithasmademethinkabouttheworlddifferently.Now
Ilookattheworldandwonderwhydopeopledoactslikethis?Forexamplewhydopeopledo
terrorism,orstandupfortheirkind.Whydowehavewar?Can'ttherejustbepeace?Ihaveso
manyquestionsthatIcangoonandonforever.ButthisisallbecauseIwasinthishistoryclass
anditshowedmealloftheeventshappeningaroundtheworld.

Myopinionontheworldhasexpandedalso.ItmademelookathowgratefulIamtobe
eatingfood,readingbooks,beingabletobeinschool.Historydoesaffectthefuture.Thatswhy
welearnhistory.HistorygrabbedmyattentionbypointingouthowgratefulIamtobefree.Ilook
atotherpeopleandimliketheylookthesamebutcanbesuffering.Thatswhyyoudon'tknow
anyonefromtheirlooks.
