The document summarizes opposition to perceived racism and Islamophobia in the UK education system. It claims that recent stories of an "Islamic plot" in Birmingham schools have been exaggerated to fuel racism and division. It argues that the real extremists are Michael Gove and the Conservatives, who use racism to pit workers against each other rather than improve education. The document calls for unity between black and white communities to fight racism, austerity, and the Conservative government.

We believe that the current Trojan Horse story about an alleged Islamic plot to take over Birmingham schools is being used by Michael Gove and the mainstream press as a way to fuel racism and Islamophobia and sow division in our communities.
The real extremists are Michael Gove and the Tories who dead set on using racism to pit workers against each other. All this panders to racist lies about Muslims and none of it helps improve education. Since Gove became education secretary, the average number of working hours for teachers has risen by 10% - up to 60 hours for primary and 56 for secondary schools per week. 2 in 5 teachers are no longer teaching after 5 years and free schools and academies are now allowed to employ unqualified teachers. Lambeth College is on all out strike against new contracts and the NUT has said that it will strike on the 10 July 2014 if government talks fail.
We say stand up for education and say no to racism and Islamophobia, we need black and white united to fight racism and get rid of this Coalition of Austerity!
