Little School Dress Code 2014-2015
The guidelines for dress code are set to insure both the safety and commitment we have in developing leaders of the
future in the students at The Elisabeth Morrow School.
Our goal is to set an appropriate tone for learning. Our students in Little School spend part of the day sitting at
desks, on the floor, and engaging in a variety of physical activities including physical education classes as well as
playing outdoors.
Clothing should be neat, comfortable and conservative. While it is important to maintain ones individuality,
clothing selection should be user friendly, devoid of distracting logos, designs or characters. Overly casual dress,
including sweat clothes, athletic wear, camouflage-style shirts and pants, and shirts with large logos or writing, are
not permitted. All clothing worn or sent to school should be clearly marked with the childs name, as the school
cannot be responsible for lost clothing.
General Dress Code:
Clothes are to be neat and clean.
Shirts, blouses and tops should cover midriff (not tank tops.)
Camouflage and sweat material (including velour) are unacceptable.
Articles of clothing with distracting logos, designs or writing are unacceptable.
Shorts must be Bermuda length (mid thigh or longer) and not tight fitting.
Sneakers are encouraged daily.
Hats may only be worn on the playground.
