The Urgency of Doing

I would imagine you got into Six Minutes because there are things you want to change,
you want to improve. I know all the different programs I am involved in, the books I am
surrounded by, they are all, the idea is, for Bob to improve Bob.

Well you know, you can go back sixty-seven years before the life of Christ, Horace said,
If you want to change your life, you have got to change your vibration. Bring it ahead
to 1900. The great psychologist from Harvard, William J ames, said, The greatest
discovery of his generation is that we can alter our lives by altering our attitude of
mind. Change our thoughts, feelings and actions, in other words.

Bringing it ahead to 1960, Dr. Maxwell Maltz said the greatest discovery of his
generation was self-image psychology. Now listen to something he wrote. He said, I
have been impressed with the urgency of doing. Knowing is not enough, we must
apply. Being willing is not enough, we must do.

It is so easy to get caught up in the plan, in the philosophy, in the strategy, in the tactics;
but if we dont step out (Bob slaps his hand) and do it, it doesnt get done. You have
got to get busy. Get a lot of things moving. Do it!

Now I dont know what you are planning on today, but I want to suggest you do it,
whatever it is. Planning is done, get out there and make it happen!
