Hadoken
Japanese neologism, "wave motion fist" or "surge fist"
Origin: Creator was inspired by a 1970s anime, Space Battleship Yamato, and a mi
ssile called the Hadouho.
Variants:
Shakunetsu Hadouken ("Blazing Surge Fist"), which briefly engulfs its target in
flames.
Denjin Hadouken (meaning?), an unblockable, electrified version that can stun op
ponents. It could be charged by holding down a punch button for an increased num
ber of hits, resulting in more stun and damage dealt.
In Super Street Fighter IV, Gouken can perform this technique; it is blockable,
but will still inflict stun damage even if blocked. In the Capcom vs. SNK series
, Evil Ryu used a more powerful version called Metsu Hadouken (????), which acte
d similar to Denjin Hadouken
Metsu Hadouken, acts simply like a more powerful variant of the Shinku Hadouken.
Super Combo:
Shinkuu Hadouken ("Vacuum Surge Fist"), which takes one of two forms depending o
n the game: an outsized fireball, or a blast of constant energy.
