Topic: Gathering seeds in your writers notebook (Writing and Sketching)

Key concepts:
1. Writers collect and explore ideas in their writers notebooks.
2. Writers will draw a self-portrait.
3. Writers will write about their name and how they got it.

Learning outcomes:
1. Students use their notebooks to collect information and ideas by writing, sketching,
and gluing/glueing in artifacts.
2. Students date each entry when they begin to write or sketch.
