for the past 14 months. She hit the deck plates running and has not let up. She is devoted, resourceful, and motivated. Her efforts and contributions during FORT MCHENRYS deployment with BATARG in support of Theatre Security initiatives were invaluable. She led the Sales Division team to provide optimal support and hospitality to over 750 Sailors and Marines greatly enhancing crew morale. As the sole operator of the Disbursing Operation she was accountable for over $100,000 and ensured the success of the Navy Cash System. In support of the overall mission she also stood watches as the Conning Officer, Helo Control Officer, At-Sea-Fire-Party Locker Officer, Officer of the Deck In-Port and Duty Supply. In preparation for Operation UNIFIED RESPONSE (OUR), she ensured the on load of stores to provide optimal crew support while deployed. Furthermore, during OUR she became certified as the Debark Control Officer and participated in COMRELS to Haiti while balancing all of her collateral duties. 3. Upon return to homeport, ENS Bates continued to gain professional knowledge by attending both Supply and Navy wide training to include; Womens Leadership Symposium, Junior Officer Training Symposium, and Food Service and Sales training courses. She has brought back the training to implement both in the Supply community and in implementing a womens mentorship program onboard FORT MCHENRY. Furthermore, while on sea duty she has continued her Masters Degree in Education Administration. ENS Bates is an outstanding Naval Officer with an exceptional work ethic, strong moral character, and the keen ability to get any job done to accomplish the mission. 4. Her experience and success as a Division Officer afloat makes her a perfect candidate for assignment as an instructor at the Navy Supply Corps School. She has earned my strongest possible recommendation for your immediate selection.
