Q.1 Explain the challenges and critical aspects of software development process for
embedded system contrasting with conventional software development processes.
Explain with suitable examples. [10]

Q.2 What are the three primary kinds of association in the UML? Explain with suitable
examples and diagrammatic representation. What is the semantic difference
between them? [10]

Q.3 What is task architecture model of a system? Explain various tasks structuring
criterion in brief. [10]

Q.4 Identify and represent the timing constraints in the following air-defense systems
by means of a state machine diagram. Classify each constraint into either
performance or behavioral constraint.

System Definition: Every incoming missile must be detected within 0.2 sec of its
entering of the radar coverage area. The intercept missile should be engaged within
5 sec of detection of the target missile. The intercept missile should be fired after
0.1 sec of its engagement but no later than 1 sec. [10]
