Background

Growing up, I dreamed of teaching, often

playing school with my sister. Learning alone
wasn't enough, I wanted to share my passion.
In December 2013, I graduated with my
Elementary Education degree.
I love learning and exploring the world around
me. As a family with four daughters, we love to
travel. During vacation time, we explored
much of the United States in our RV. We
were fortunate to live in Taipei, Taiwan for 6
months in 2002. Im eager to share my
passion for trying new experiences, reading,
investigating, and most importantly, valuing
others. The universe is amazing, with patterns
and connections visible to any willing to
observe. When a child makes a discovery, the
moment is magical. I am excited to begin the
class year with you.













My Teaching Philosophy
Every child can succeed. Every child is
a winner.
Children need to construct their own
learning through interactions with their
environment and peers. Using a variety
of strategies maintains interest while
meeting diverse needs.
Content matters, yet the foundation of
learning is organizing and examining
information critically. It begins with a
desire to satisfy natural curiosity.
A childs education will be affected by all
aspects of life. Beyond information,
teaching is about sharing a sense of
self-worth, social values, responsibility,
respect, and compassion.
Children are mathematicians, readers,
investigators, scientists, writers, artists,
and leaders. The environment should
reflect this.

Year Objectives

As a community, we will engage in active
learning, inquiring into the world around us as
we sharpen our skills, considering
information critically in a collaborative
manner. Partnering with parent and student,
I will give my best effort. I can't wait to share,
learn, laugh, and grow with you!
