Out of the Cold

North York Harvest Food Bank


Out for the cold program runs over the winter for
approximately 23 weeks . You can volunteer at over the
20 locations, either church's or sinogueogs.
Volunteered at the East Minister United Church
You can volunteer at any North York Harvest Food
Bank location.
This program is all year around.
There are 60 community programs.
Volunteered at the food bank on Lawrence street.
To be allowed to enter, you cannot be under the
influence
Emergencies cause for guards
Every volunteer must help clean up

Churches and Charities generally operate temporary
shelters
The Homeless Partnering Strategy
Assists in the progression of a better and healthier
lifestyle
Provides services, like basic needs; food, clothes,
medical care and shelter.
There are specialized shelters for different people in
different situations and its safe and secure
