Equity Student Panel Questions

Do not use names of teachers or staff members for negative comments. We want to learn about these
practices but naming names is not a constructive way to turn this around.
1. What have your educational struggles been? How have you overcome them?

2. When you have difficulties is there an adult at school you go to? If so, how do they help? Please
share an example or two.

3. Are there adults at school who have made a difference in your life? How?


4. What are your educational goals and dreams? Who helps you to keep them alive?

5. Describe an educational experience that has helped you succeed, or helped you reach higher,
try harder.

6. Describe school experiences that have been unhelpful or negative.


7. Describe some highlights of your school life.

8. As a Black student, how is your experience of school different from others?


9. If someone asks why equity or race is important in school, or why they should care about it, how
would you respond?
