Prodigal son
The Father represents God the Father.
The Father of the Prodigal son is merciful even thou his son has taken his
money he forgive and love his son.
Youngest Son - represents sinners, outcast, and gentiles who were all to be part
of the kingdom of the lord
The son that is prodigal, it means that he is someone who is wasteful, who
is wasting his money, wasting his goods, wasting his very life. He asked for his
inheritance from his Father and wasted it.
Oldest Son represents scribes and Pharisees. That served God not because of
love but desires a reward.
The son that is expecting while working. He works for his Father because
he expects more rewards.

The Telephone conversation
In short telephone coversation is based on the theme of racism.the
narrator finds it difficult to find accomodation only because of his skin
colour.Instead of discussing renting prices and baraining they conversation is
bases on their skin colour.Towards the end when realization dawns upon him he
tries ridiculing or mocking the lanlady.Again this story has lots of sarcasm and
somewhere a tone of dejection.In the end we can only sympathise with the
narrator.
