National Select 7on7 Championship Series

Wheaton, IL The Illinois Qualifier for the National Select 7on7 Championship Series will
take place June 26-27 in Wheaton, IL. The Illinois Qualifier always has intense competition
and this year will be no exception.

The tournament will begin on June 26 with pool play competition between all 32 teams.
The teams have been separated into 4 different pools, each consisting of 8 teams. Bracket
play will take place between the teams on June 27 and a champion will be announced that
afternoon.

The quality of teams is off the charts. The Illinois Qualifier has brought together the top
programs, as they have proven year after year, from the state of Illinois to come and
compete, said Site Coordinator Kevin Sander.

The teams participating in the Illinois Qualifier are: Glenbard South, Lake Park, Maine
South, Nequa Valley, Niles West, Oswego East, St. Charles North, Wheaton Warrenville
South, Addison Trail, Elk Grove, Glenbard West, Metea Valley, Montini Catholic, Naperville
Central, Schaumburg, Thornton Township, Batavia, Downers Grove South, Glenbard North,
Lincoln Way East, Lockport, Naperville North, Prospect, Waubonsie Valley, Barrington,
Bartlett, Buffalo Grove, Desoto Central, Huntley, Lyons Township, Rockford Boylan, and
Wheaton North.

We have been extremely humbled at the response from programs all over wanting to be a
part of the event, said Sander. Growing from 8 teams to 32 teams in three years is
something we are very proud of and the teams involved have helped make the growth
extremely easy

The Illinois Qualifier is one of the 12 National Select 7on7 Qualifiying Tournaments to be
held this summer. The winner from each tournament qualifies to play in the National Select
7on7 Championships in Hoover, AL July 17-19.
