TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION FOR CURRENT TRANSFORMERS

1.0 GENERAL
1.1 This specification covers manufacture, test, & supply of LT Current transformers
of class 0.5 accuracy.
1.2 The CTs shall be suitable for metering purpose.
2.0 TYPE:
2.1 The CTs shall be of ring type or winow type !bar type or bus"bar type CT#s shall
not be accepte$.
2.2 The seconary leas shall be terminate with Tinne Cooper rose contact
terminals with arrangements for sealing purposes.

4.0 TESTS:
4.1. TYPE TESTS:

approve before commencement of supply.
4.2 ROUTINE TESTS:
(.2.1 The supplier shall conuct all the routine tests such as 2atio test, phase angle
error test for 0.5 accuracy class as per *+ 2,05 &art * & **.
4.3 COMMISSIONING TEST :

carrie out after erection on site on sample basis.
5.0 MARKING -
5.1 The CTs shall have mar'ing an nameplate as per *+ 2,05 in aition to class of
insulation & *+5. The mar'ings shall be inellible. The nameplate shall be
securely fi=e to the boy of the CT.
6.0 PACKING:
