BIG Assist Sponsored Visits

BIG Assist sponsored visits are designed for infrastructure organisations to share experiences
and learn from each another on a range of topics focused around organisational development
and support, with the aim of enabling organisations to become more effective and sustainable.

Hosts receive a flat payment of 400 per visit: visitors receive 250 (per visit, per organisation)

Visits include:
One person from one organisation visiting another on a one-off basis
A small group (a maximum of four people) from one organisation visiting another on a
one-off basis
A small group from different organisations visiting one organisation on a one-off basis
(each host may only be visited once by each organisation)

Visits do not include:
An organisation holding a meeting/event/conference
A workshop or group session as part of an event/conference

Sponsorship must be granted before the visit can take place and visitors must complete a
feedback form before any payment is processed


Steps to applying for a sponsored visit

1. Register as a customer
Go to www.bigassist.org.uk click on start the self-assessment
Click on register/sign in (not sure whether youre eligible? check here)
Answer a couple of pre-qualification questions (no need to complete the self-
assessment)

2. Would you like to attend a visit or host one yourself?

Attend a visit
Find an organisation to visit, make contact and agree a visit
Log-in and click on the connectspace tab from your dashboard (see below )
Click on find a visit in connectspace
Content of visits must focus on organisational development of you as an infrastructure
organisation rather than your frontline activities




















Request sponsorship
Tell us a) the purpose of your visit and b) what youre hoping to learn

Host a visit
Log-in and click on the connectspace tab from your dashboard
Click on host a visit and upload your profile (see above image)
Write a paragraph or two about what you will cover, the learning you will share and
how it will benefit the visitor the more specific the better (see image below)

Log-in, click on Connectspace from your dashboard and leave feedback

5. Both host and visitor/s invoice BIG Assist
