There continues to be a significant threat of thefts from motor vehicles along the shoreline. Madison, similar to other area towns, has been experiencing numerous thefts from unlocked motor vehicles. In these cases, the thief, or thieves, is entering unlocked motor vehicles and taking items inside including, cash and loose change, electronics, sunglasses, purses, and wallets. Madison residents are urged to lock their vehicles and remove all valuables especially during the overnight hours.
