To provide science-based,
experiential learning in the
outdoors while fostering respect
for the natural environment and
empowering people to act in its
interest.

DORMS:
Heated
Indoor Plumbing
Stall showers
Wings/dorms separated by
gender each with its own
bathroom
Adult sleeping areas are
separate, but near students
Dorms are supervised by school
personnel and school- approved
chaperones
ORIENTATION:
Hands-Up rule

NATURALISTS:
No more than 13 students per
trail group; led by 1 Naturalist

All have at least two years of
college; often with classes in
science or education.
Come from all over the country
