Objective
To obtain an elementary teaching position in which I can help students of all ages become responsible

As a substitute, it is my duty to follow the classroom teachers plans and make adjustments accordingly. Some
of my responsibilities as a sub include taking attendance and reporting it to the office, maintaining classroom
management both in the classroom and in the hallways, providing support to students who need it, and reporting
back to the classroom teacher about how the day went and what was covered.

Graduate Research Assistant for Dr. Aaron Isabelle (SUNY New Paltz) Spring 2014 Semester
My job is to assist Dr. Isabelle in connecting an activity-based science curriculum made in the 70s, called STEPS
in Science, to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Each step was first connected to the NGSS, and
then categorized into main idea and grade level. From there, I was in charge of organizing the grade level main
ideas so that each had 2 STEPS and a corresponding Engineering Center.

I created and led an after school science class for 4

grade students for six weeks called Mad Scientists.
In this time I taught the students physical science topics such as chemical properties and change and density.
