The average human body is made up of about 60% water and it
serves many different bodily functions. It regulates body
temperature, lubricates joints, removes and excretes waste products and protects your spinal cord and organs. It is critical to be consuming an adequate amount each day. Generally, if you drink water whenever youre thirsty, you will get enough. However, your needs increase if you are very active, live or work in hot conditions or are an older adult. Drinking water can also help manage your caloric intake. Adults and children drink about 400 calories per day in beverages. Choose water over sugary drinks and it may help you maintain a healthy weight.
