Crew size adjustment for repetitive projects

1) The logic network for one unit of 15- unit project is shown below. The first unit is
to be finished after 15 week, and a hand over rate of one unit per two weeks to be
maintain.

Activity Depends on Duration (w)
A - 1
B A 3
C A 2
D C 4
E C 5
F B,C 6
G E,F 2
Required:
Construct the progress chart at the end of week 20.

2) The following network shows the activities included in one unit of a 30- unit
housing project. The maximum production rate are as follows:

Activity Depend on Duration Maximum
production rate
unit / day
A - 5 2.00
B - 9 1.16
C A 8 2.00
D B 6 1.45
E C,D 7 1.53
Required:
1- Construct the objective chart depending on the above rates.
2- Draw the LOB after 30 working days.
3- What is the expected percentage of completion for each activity by that
time

3) You are given the unit network of a 61- unit project and the available resources for
each activity.

Activity Depend on Rate Available resource
A - 3 12
B - 5 10
C - 6 18
D A,B 4 20
E B,C 3 9
F D,E 2 4
Required:
Draw the objective chart of this project based on early finish times

4) For the following 37-unit construction project, the network of one unit is shown
below:

Activity Depend on Duration (week) Rate (unit /
week)
A - 2 2
B A 3 3
C A 4 4
D A 2 2
E A,D,C 3 3
F D,B,E 6 3
Required:
1- Draw the objective chart for the project and find its duration.
2- Draw the progress chart after 22 week.
3- If after 30 weeks of work the actual number of units finished from
activity F is 15 units. What action would you take to correct this
situation?
