Beginning: Give each child a piece of foil to investigate. Record the comments.
Middle: Comment on the different shapes the foil is taking. Use words like twist, bend, squeeze to describe the object that is made.
Extensions: Distinguishing shapes, making their own decisions Later: The children then played around with some of their creations. End: Give children a chance to show each other what they made and reread their comments give additional words
