Activity Summary: The purpose of this activity is to have the student determine the correct number of crickets in one group compared to another. In this activity the student will look at each group of crickets and determine what number corresponds to the group.
Learning Objective: The student will be able to count how many objects are in a set with 100% accuracy.
Curriculum Standard: Content standard 6 the student will recognize numbers and compare which group has more or less in a set by counting.
Learning Expectation: CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.K.CC.C.6 Identify whether the number of objects in one group is greater than, less than, or equal to the number of objects in another group, e.g., by using matching and counting strategies.
Performance Indicator/Accomplishment: K.CC.B.5 given a number from 1-20, count out that many objects. Drag the correct number of crickets to the column. Afterward, state the number that comes before and after the given number.
