ERP Evaluation checklist

1. Why ERP? And significance of it in your organization?
2. Identification of ERP requirement by module wise, listing out the desired outcome of this
solution?
3. What is your budget and how soon you want to see ERP system getting deployed?
4. Which type of ERP suits your organizational requirement (Saas, Cloud, On-premise)?
5. Evaluation of ERP vendors online (google it their company profile and their technology,
Credit history)?
6. Evaluation of ERP vendors offline (Reference customer visit).
7. Analyse the difference between standard sales demo and pilot demo (demo after you had
shared your requirement)?
8. Evaluate the ERP for your requirement (if customization required yes/no).
9. Standard modules no customization no hustle in implementation and up-gradations.
10. Customization required? What degree of customization required? ( more than 20-25%
customization then reject the vendor they will cost you more and complex up-gradation too)
11. Short listing the vendor and ERP depend on your requirements and budget.
12. Freeze the customization required from your side (including various reports too) and finalize
on the duration of this project.
13. Regularly check the phase of implementation with project delivery team and project
manager.
14. Testing of ERP system before going live (commissioning of system).
15. Go-live the system with fulfilling all your requirements.
16. Standard training to all ERP users in your organization.
17. AMC agreement with Parent ERP Company or Third party vendor for service after Go-Live.
18. Updates being updated with respects to your customization.
