SEASONS

Have you ever wondered how the seasons work. why do we have
summer, spring, autumn and winter? If you want to know, nd out
here.

The earth has two halves, the Northern hemisphere and southern
hemisphere.

the northern and southern hemisphere have different seasons at the
same time, On christmas, the countries in the northern hemisphere
have a snowy winter, but the southern hemisphere will have summer.
that is because the earth has an imaginary line called the earths axis.
The earths axis is tilted at a 23.5 degree angle because the earth is
tilted at a 23.5 degree angle.

Earths axis (imaginary line)

When the earth is on the left side of the sun, the right side of the
southern hemisphere gets the most sun, and the rest of the southern
hemisphere gets enough sun for it to be summer.
But when the earth orbits to the right side of the sun, the sun still
gives us sunlight, but not direct sunlight, so the southern
hemisphere will have winter.

The earth rotates around the sun.

earth travels a complete circle around
the sun every year, but it rotates in a full
circle every day. If our planet didnt rotate
and orbit we wouldnt have seasons. One
side of the world would have summer forever
and the other side would have winter.

So now you know your friend on the other side of the world will be
skiing in the snow, while you are swimming in the sea.
