Figurative Language

Figurative language is language used by writers to produce images in readers' minds and to
express ideas in fresh, vivid, and imaginative ways.
A simile

is a comparison of two things, indicated by some connective, usually "like", "as", "than", or
a verb such as "resembles" to show how they are similar.
