Advantages and Disadvantages of using Calculator
Advantages
Other than it can be a entertainment (because tapping and tapping any numbers
on it that results in syntax error is amusement to me XD) Math calculators make it
possible to measure, count and solve math problems in an easier and accurate manner.
A student can better understand the principles of mathematics by using a calculator.
After solving for the unknown by using the longhand method, the student can confirm if
the answer is correct by using a calculator. Accurate and reduces the work that you
have to do.
It saves valuable time for productive learning, especially at a higher level where the
basics has been mastered, and more emphasis is placed on concept understanding.
Knowing what the focus is saves you time and effort. Create time and not waste it
doing the improper thing

Disadvantages
The main disadvantage is that it can make you sluggish with simple mental arithmetic
and can reduce your ability in this area. And when a person uses the calculator it is less
work that their mind gets to do. Trying to figure out the problem with their mind is a
workout for their brain. Using calculator may result in over-reliance; people (especially
students) could be weak in mental math, due to so much relying on it. Relying on a
calculator results in a child being unable to improve in math due to lack of fluency and
recall of information
People should know to use the calculator in the first place. Should what the function of
that Tan, sin, cos, ncr and other buttons there. Thus, calculator, though may seem
detrimental to math studies, can be beneficial when the intent of usage is proper.
