Problem

The study aims to answer the following questions:

1. What are causes the of Xenocentrism?

2. Does history had something to do with the Filipino's inferiority

to foreigners?

3. How does Xenocentrism affect the country?

Significance of the Study

 The people that will be able to benefit from this study are the

following:

● Faculty – The Faculty members especially those who are teaching

society and culture can use these information about

xenocentrism. In this study, definition and examples are

mentioned.

● Students – The students will be able to know and understand the

effects of the said behavior which is one of the topics in the

subject Society and Culture.

● Future Researchers – This study can help future researchers who

are going to study topics related to culture.

The study is important especially today's youth generation

because it discusses effects on the continued preference of anything

foreign while disregarding the local ones. The study will help people

understand that one's own culture is not inferior to the other but

rather unique.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Research Method
● The researchers used the Probabilistic design where all

respondents are given an equal chance to be in the sample. This

design is very ideal to the study because not all it is not sure

whether the is xenocentric or not. The objective here is to

collect data based on the respondent's answer on the

questionaire.

Research Environment
● The study will be conducted in the University of Cebu-Banilad

Campus. It is one of the campuses of the University of Cebu

which was established on 2002 It is located in Baraangay

Kasambagan, Cebu City along the Banilad.
