1. Sead Kolasinac was born in Germany and played for Karlsruher, Hoffenheim and Stuttgart at the
youth level. His time at Hoffenheim and Stuttgart was short-lived leading up to his arrival at Schalke in
2012.

He made his debut in the Bundesliga and UEFA Champions League in 2012. Schalke's 20-year-old
left-back, the modern defender for the future, is young but mature enough to play at the World Cup as
well.

Kolasinac played for Germany's U-18, U-19 and U-20 teams and scored a goal apiece for the U-19
where he made 11 appearances and U-20 team. However, he accepted an invitation to play for
Bosnia-Herzegovina in 2013, making his debut in a friendly against Argentina.

Safet Susic has called him up to the World Cup squad after just four international appearances.

Kolasinac himself confirmed too that Manchester United showed interest in signing him, but they might
not be the only club to want him, a sign which shows he has great potential as a player.
